Jerry Alan Ball

Jerry Alan Ball, 64, Telford, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a son of the late Woodrow and Virginia Rogers Ball. Mr. Ball was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the V.A. Center where he had worked as a police officer. Survivors include a daughter, Shannon Nichole Whitburn and husband, Nathan of Jonesborough; two sons, Jeremy Ball of Telford and Jason Ball of Johnson City; two sisters, Nancy Depreist of Johnson City, Linda Peterson of Florida; three brothers, Calvin Ball of Johnson City, Raymond Ball of Georgia and Richard Ball of New Jersey; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted in the Mountain Home National Cemetery Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:30 AM with Military Honors provided by the Boone Dam VFW Honor Guard Detail. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery.
