Jeremy Matthew Mounts

Early on the morning of Tuesday, July 9th 2013, the world unexpectedly lost a great soul. Jeremy was born April 1st, 1984 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His birth date of April Fool's day was very fitting for such a gentle and fun-loving man. Pranks and jokes were a big part of his life. He set an example by not taking himself too seriously and did not mind making a fool of himself if it would make others laugh or brighten someone's day. As he once said, "I never miss an opportunity to photo-bomb", and thankfully many photos exist as a reminder. Mastering the electric guitar was one of his strongest talents. He was a self-taught artist with an admirable passion and tenacity for music. He loved spending time outdoors with his family and friends at the lake, in the woods, or anywhere there was a gathering. His co-workers often told of his solid work ethic and desire to provide assistance where it was needed, many times before it was even asked. He was an independent yet grounded spirit who lived life to the fullest and was a genuine friend to many. Jeremy is survived by his parents Lisa and Chance Hornberger and Virgil Mounts; stepsister Victoria Hornberger; grandparents Dennis and Rose Marie Grace, Karen Trexler, and Rosie and David Hornberger; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss him dearly. A private service will be held for family on Saturday, July 13th. A celebration of his life will be held at 2pm on Sunday July 14th at 122 Mohler Road in Gray, TN. His family would love the chance to hear and share stories with his friends about this life well-lived. There will be tears, but Jeremy would also want everyone to laugh and remember the fun times we had with him. On that note, please don't feel the need to wear black or dress up on Sunday. In fact, we are sure Jeremy would like nothing more than to have everyone dress as they feel most comfortable. He might even condone a silly outfit or two.
