Jeffery Dennis Nabors

Jeffery Dennis Nabors, 54, 1604 E. Fairview Avenue, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Rapid City, South Dakota but had lived most of his life in Johnson City. Mr. Nabors was the son of Reba Stiles Nabors of Kingsport and the late William Morris Nabors. He enjoyed reading and watching television. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Pauline Stiles and his paternal grandparents, Tony and Ola Sue Nabors. Survivors include his mother, Reba Stiles Nabors of Kingsport; a sister, Sheila Hobbs and her husband, Jay of Kingsport; two nephews, Michael Thornburg of Virginia and Matthew Thornburg of Kingsport; a special friend, Aliesha "Lisa" Taylor of Johnson City; many aunts, uncles and cousins; also his precious dog, Susie. Graveside services for Mr. Nabors will be conducted at 3:30 PM Friday, July 31, 2015 in the East Tennessee Cemetery in Blountville with Mr. Tim Hall officiating. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City, Friday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM then travel in procession to the cemetery.
