Jeffery Keith McKee, 70, Jonesborough died Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Franklin Woods Community Hospital after a brief illness. Mr. McKee was a Washington County native and was a son of the late Carl McKee Sr. and Dorothy Dykes McKee. He was a heavy equipment mechanic and operator. Mr. McKee attended Jackson Park Covenant Brethren Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Lee McKee. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rebecca McNeese McKee; a daughter, Heather Myers and her husband, Sabastian of Jonesborough; a sister, Lois Jill Boles of Jellico, TN; two brothers, Curtis McKee of Jonesborough and Carl Jackson McKee Jr. of Telford; two grandchildren, Charles “Charlie” Waddle and Caedon Andrew Myers of Jonesborough; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. Online memorial services for Mr. McKee will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 18, 2021 with Pastor Jeremy Dykes and Charlie Waddle officiating. Jeff was a good mechanic and builder. Seems like he was always working on a project or two, trying to make them better or faster. He was strong willed in his decisions and perhaps a bit contrary at times. Jeff was a good father, a good grandfather, and overall a good man. We love you Uncle Jeff, and we will miss you.

I’m going to miss you Uncle Jeff. I know your in heaven rejoicing and walking the streets of gold. Oh what a glorious day that’ll be when we all meet again one day. You were one of a kind. I have lots of fun memories with you over the years. You, Daddy and Uncle Jackie loved aggravating me until I was so mad and to be honest I would just act like it made me mad but I loved it just as much as you all loved doing it. I remember sitting in your lap and pulling your chest hair and you would holler like it hurt so bad and I would just laugh and laugh. I’ll never forget all our family holidays and get togethers while growing up. They were always the best of times. Give Pappaw a hug and kiss for me. This goodbye is not forever, it’s not the end, it simply means, we will miss you, until we all meet again.

Jeff was a very gifted person. I have never seen anything that had wheels, track, or an engine on it that he couldn't fix. He had very few equals in this regard. He was my friend for 55 years, and my brother in law for 51 years. I loved him and I'm going to miss him. I already do........
