Jearel G. Dale

Jearel G. Dale, 75, formerly of Watauga Square Apartments, Johnson City passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Asbury Place. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was the daughter of the late Earl and Opal Murray Ottinger. Mrs. Dale was a homemaker and was a very special Mamaw and Nana. She loved her family and especially her grandbabies. She will be missed greatly. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Ottinger Jr. and Lester Gene Ottinger. Survivors include a son, Troy Dale and his wife, Rachel of Johnson City; a daughter, Lisa Leonard and her husband, Robert; a brother, Johnny Ottinger all of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Katherine (Kattie) Leonard, Michael and Doug Cross and Ashley Miller; three great grandchildren, Weston, Shaylyn Rose and Nickolas Miller; Funeral services for Mrs. Dale will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2013 in the Chapel of Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Mr. Franklin Fitzpatrick officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Other times friends may call at the homes of Troy, 2228 Elizabethton Highway or Lisa, 1108 Fremont Drive, #1, Johnson City. Graveside services for Mrs. Dale will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 5, 2013 in the Eden at Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike, Steven and Nick Jaynes, Wes Miller and Franklin Fitzpatrick. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM to go in procession to the cemetery.
