Mrs. Janice C. Lunceford, 74, 43 Veterans Way, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at the Center on Aging, Erwin. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Goldie Combs Leach. Mrs. Lunceford was a homemaker and had worked for Roadrunner stores for years. She attended McKinnley Memorial Bible Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ted V. Dugger Sr. in 2010 and Nile J. Jones in 1964; a brother, Thomas J. Leach. Survivors include four sons, Nile James (Jimmy) Jones Jr. of Melbourne, FL, Richard Wayne Jones, Russell Todd Jones and Van Dugger and his wife, Beth all of Johnson City; two brothers, Bill Leach of Rome, GA and Terry Leach of Johnson City; two sisters, Pat Canter and her husband, Harvey of Telford and Brenda Canter and her husband, Larry of Johnson City; six grandchildren, Stephanie, John, Daniel, Harold "Bubba", Cody and Travis; four great-grandchildren, John, Jackson, Conner and T.J.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Lunceford will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, November 25, 2012 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Lenny Smith officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 PM until the service hour. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Harold Allison, cardiologist for his special care he provided Janice.
