James Michael "Wolfe" Williams, 53, 214 Charlie Dillow Road, Telford passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 25, 2014 in Oklahoma City. He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a son of the late Robert and Betty Lou Reaves Williams. Mr. Williams was a 1977 graduate of Science Hill High School. He was a truck driver for Old Dominion Freight Lines. Mr. Williams attended Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City. Survivors include a brother, Keith Williams and his wife, Kelly of Johnson City; a sister, Beverly Short of El Paso, Texas; three aunts, Dean Edwards of Telford, Diana Blevins of Johnson City and Rosa Lee Murr of Baltimore; an uncle, Darrell Williams of Johnson City; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 1, 2014 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with the Rev. Paul Crowe and Rev. Mike Dickenson officiating. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Barbara Smith and Lora and Benny Lowe. Interment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 noon until the service hour. The family would like to offer special thanks to the management and staff of Old Dominion Freight Lines for all of their support.
