James David Proffitt, 69, of Johnson City passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. Mr. Proffitt was a son of the late Albert and Frances Davidson Proffitt. He leaves behind a brother, Billy Proffitt; six sisters, Juanita Dooley, Brenda Greene, Ruthann Brewster, Betty Simms, Helen Feltner and Bonnie Rosenbaum. There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday, April 22, 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the home of a sister, Betty, 2419 Stone Drive, Johnson City.
