Jaelyn Hannah Hodge, age 2 residing at 1000 Stonegate Road, Kingsport was granted her angel wings on January 10th, 2016. She was diagnosed with Full Trisomy 18 at birth. Doctors said that she would not live to see her first birthday and the Lord blessed her family with 2 extraordinary years. All of her final days spent, were spent surrounded by family and friends whom Jaelyn had touched in a miraculous way throughout her short, yet memorable life. Jae-Jae's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives, for each and every moment spent with our "Warrior Princess" was a gift that we will forever be grateful for. Although Jaelyn's illness made her appear frail, she possessed strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds and physical challenges. With her courage, she lead us to believe that each and every single moment is a blessing and an opportunity to create lasting memories. Although we will miss her every day, especially her beautiful smile and heart warming soul, she will forever remain in our hearts. Through her teachings about life, we have been able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to know her. Jaelyn is survived by her loving mother, Amber Hodge and mother's boyfriend Daniel Henry, as well as her father, Jeffery Hodge II; her beautiful sister: Kynlee Hodge; Grandparents: Dawn Robinette, and Deborah and Jeffery Hodge; Aunts: Sara Davis, Kayla Hodge, Amy Whitson and Katherine Hodge-Gibson; Uncles: Ben Cross and Michael Whitson; Cousins: Bailey Cross and Joshua Gibson; Great Grandmother: Gloria Hodge and her Great Grandfathers: John Little and Larry Hodge. Jaelyn's service will be held on Sunday, January 17th at 4:00 PM in the Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Scott Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until the service hour. Visitation: Sunday January 17 2016 - 2:00 to 4:00 PM Services: Sunday 4:00 PM Interment:
