Ivalee Adams, 84, of Boones Creek Community passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019 in the NHC Healthcare. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Vernon Robert Crouch and Bertha Presnell Crouch. Mrs. Adams was a Baptist by faith and loved her family very much. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Grady “Maypoe” Adams; a brother, Robert Crouch; a sister, Mary Jane Barnett; two half-sisters, Pina Marion and Desserri Neal; a half-brother, Roy Bunton. Survivors include a daughter, Janie Montgomery and husband, Jessie of Kingsport; four sons, Alvin Adams and wife, Julie of Johnson City, Danny Adams and wife, Sherry of Johnson City, Leroy Adams and wife, Lisa of Hampton and Johnny Adams and wife, Helen of Johnson City; eight grandchildren, Byron Taylor, Cody, Alvin, Jacob and Amber Adams, Olivia, Jenny and Allison Tugman; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joey, Nathaniel, Grayden, Sarah, Ashlee, Brooklyn and Elizabeth; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Adams will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 13, 2019 in the Appalachian Funeral Home. 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Evangelist Charles Toonie Cash officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will follow in the Boones Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
