Imojean Morrell Turner

Imojean Morrell Turner, 89, of 121 Webb Court, Jonesborough went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 3, 2015 in the Franklin Woods Community Hospital. She was a native of Washington County and was a daughter of the late James Nathan Morrell and Blanche Parry Morrell. Mrs. Turner was a graduate of Jonesborough High School. She retired from Leon-Ferenbach after 48 years of employment. Mrs. Turner lived her life serving Jesus Christ and was a member of Believers United Ministries of Jonesborough. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack N. Morrell and James D. Morrell. Survivors include two daughters, Sharon Phillips of Knoxville and Jo Greene and her husband, Shelby of Jonesborough; two granddaughters, Andrea Wilson and husband, Clifton of Lake City, FL and Melissa Poma of Knoxville; a grandson, Parry Qualls and wife, Bailey of Johnson City; a great-granddaughter, Emily Poma of Knoxville; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Turner will be conducted at 11:30 AM Monday, September 7, 2015 in the Pleasant Valley Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Brethren Church Road, Jonesborough with Ms. Sheryl Merritt and Dr. Mark Gaskins officiating. Pallbearers will be Parry Qualls, Clifton Wilson, Michael Poma, Seth Oaks, Harry Vickers, John Arrowsmith, Greg Salazar and Randy Reese. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:20 AM. In lieu of lowers the family suggests that memorials be made to Believers United Ministries Church, 121 Webb Court, Jonesborough, TN 37659 or to Smithwood Baptist Church, 4914 Jacksboro Pike, Knoxville, TN 37918.
