Helen Mae Henry

Helen M. Henry, 86, 1573 Ft. Henry Drive, Kingsport passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012 in the Franklin Woods Community Hospital. She was a native of Hawkins County and was a daughter of the late J.E. and Sue Smith Leonard. Mrs. Henry was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James B. Henry Sr. in 1965; a son, Phillip D. Henry and two brothers and six sisters. Survivors include two sons, Sam L. Henry Sr. and his wife, Carol of Gray and James B. Henry Jr. of Kingsport; a brother, J.E. Leonard Jr. and his wife, Francis of Rogersville; six grandchildren, Kristy Christian and her husband, Greg, Leslie Kestner and her husband, Greg, Sam Henry Jr. and his wife, April, Lori Seymore, Dana Holloman and her husband, Matt and Amanda Reed and her husband, Jonathan; six great-grandchildren, Alex Christian, Zachary Christian, Christian Henry, Jaiden Henry, Hailey Reed and Rylan Reed; also many nieces, nephews and friends survive Mrs. Henry. The funeral service for Mrs. Henry will be conducted at 12:00 noon Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Seymore officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM in the Holston View Cemetery, 1383 US Highway 23 S, Weber City, Virginia. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. Everyone attending this service is asked to meet at the cemetery. The family would like to give special thanks to the Mountain States Health Alliance group for the wonderful care they provided. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 207 N. Boone Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.
