Mr. Harley Miller, 73, 427 Cash Hollow Road, Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 11, 2013 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Edgar and Ida Mae Bunton Miller. Mr. Miller was retired from the Johnson City Country Club and attended Cash Hollow Church and Eastside Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Troy Miller; a sister, Peggy Barlow; three brothers, Bob, Frank and Ray Miller. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sarah Ann King Miller; four children, James Darren Miller of Johnson City, Sandy Miller and wife, Amy of Sulphur Springs, Patty Davis and husband, Mike of Greeneville and Jody Miller of Johnson City; two brothers, Jay and Charles Miller of Johnson City; a half-brother, Teddy Miller, Elizabethton; a step-brother, Bill Rosenbaum of Johnson City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law, Anna Belle King of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Miller will be conducted 2:30 PM Friday, November 15, 2013 in the Mausoleum Chapel of Washington County Memory Gardens with Rev. James Cretsinger and Rev. Greg Wagner officiating. Music will be provided by James and Moretta Crestsinger and Barbara Trent. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City Friday from 12:00 to 2:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Josh Nave, Jeff Erwin, Robbie Turbyfill, Mike Davis Sandy Miller, Scotty Nichols, Bill Henderson and Daniel Nelson.
