Gloria Collignon Brown

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Gloria Collignon Brown who died November 13, 2014 will be conducted by Rev. Bob Edmonds on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Sanctuary of Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church where Mrs. Brown was a member for more than fifty years. Prior to her move to Johnson City she was a member of Fountain City Methodist Church in Knoxville, TN where she was preceded in death by her parents, Estell K. and Eugene W. Collignon. Mrs. Brown was an active community volunteer. She was a member of the Monday Club of Johnson City; a charter member of the Johnson City Woman's Club and a Life Member of Shady Oaks Garden Club. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Gaither W. Brown Jr.; one son, Gaither Brown III; one daughter, Sharon and son-in-law, David Burke all of Johnson City; two beloved granddaughters, Susan Kathleen (Katie) Walser and husband, Stephen and Rebecca (Becca) Brown Darnell and husband, Aaron of Knoxville; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Savannah Walser. The family would like to offer special thanks to the staff of Appalachian Christian Village and to a special friend and caregiver, Cathyrn Wilcox for the wonderful care and compassion they provided.
