George William Deason

George William Deason, 83, 2103 Indian Ridge Road, Johnson City passed away Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late William and Fannie Tunnell Deason. Mr. Deason retired from Holiday Inn after 26 years of employment in the food service industry. He was a veteran having served in the U.S. Air Force. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Jo Deason; Survivors include a son, John William Deason of Johnson City; a brother, W.H. Deason Jr.; his friend and ex-wife, Sue Fox, Johnson City; four step-sons, Billy, Dan, David and Tim Bailey; a step-daughter, Cynthia Dison. Graveside services with Military Honors provided by the Boone Dam VFW Honor Guard Detail will be conducted at 2:30 PM Thursday, January 3, 2013 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery.
