Gary Thomas Smallman

Gary Thomas Smallman, 62, 4049 Timberlake Road, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at his residence after a brief illness. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of the late Johnny and Dorothy Price Smallman. Mr. Small retired from American Water Heater and then went to work with J.A. Street Construction until his health declined. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Jenkins and a brother, Steve Smallman. Survivors include a son, Gary Wayne Smallman of Johnson City; a daughter, Shawna R. Holt of Greensboro, NC; a sister, Edith Foster of Johnson City; two brothers, Bobby Smallman and Freddie Smallman both of Johnson City; five grandchildren; a very special nephew, Mark Riddle and wife, Sue of Johnson City; also two nieces of Piney Flats.
