Frelan Lee Milam

Lee Milam, 54, 0f Johnson City passed away Friday, August 28, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Bluefield, West Virginian and a son of Rebecca Mitchum of Welch, WV and the late Junior Lee Milam. Lee worked in auto towing for many years. For 27 years, Lee coached youth athletics in Johnson City, mainly for the Jr. Toppers youth football teams ages 5 through 7. He was very dedicated to the youth in our area and was a great role model. He will be missed greatly. Survivors in addition to his mother includes his wife, Cindy Bishop Milam; a son, Michael Milam and his fiancAC.e, Jessica of Johnson City; five daughters, Renee Ward and husband, Ricky, Ashley Milam and husband, James Highmiller, Katelyn Milam, Victoria Milam and Leanna Milam and her fiancAC., Jamie Hartley all of Johnson City; his step-mother, Sue Milam of West Virginia; twelve brothers and sisters; thirteen grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Milam will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 1, 2015 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with the Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour.
