Freddie Lee Whitaker, 63, Johnson City passed away Saturday, May 2, 2020 at his residence. He was a native of Greene County and was a son of the late Richard Donald Whitaker and Vivian Louise Foster Whitaker. Freddie had worked for Mor-Flo Industries for many years before retiring. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and college football. Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Whitaker of Johnson City; two brothers, Donnie and David Whitaker both of Johnson City; three grandchildren and several nieces and cousins. Graveside services for Freddie will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 7, 2020 in the Washington County Memory Gardens with Chaplain Ryan Wagoner officiating. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City from 12:30 to 1:30 PM then proceed to the cemetery.
