Fred Lee Stewart of Telford passed away from this life to the next on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center after a battle with lung cancer. He was born in Washington County, Tennessee, January 7, 1940, the son of the late Frank and Minnie Payne Stewart. Fred worked at home, building rocking chairs and at Superior Metal Products. However he spent most of his adult life working at Snyder's Signs. He was a master craftsman and enjoyed playing the mandolin. Fred was of the Baptist faith and attended Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Limestone. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith Smith Stewart; a son, Scott Alan Stewart; brothers, Mack, Marvin "Bud" and Bernie Stewart; sisters, Rachel Hensley, Georgia Wright, "Tootie" Masters and Aggie Anderson. Those left to cherish his memory includes his wife, Delores Anne Douglas Ayers Stewart; a brother, Roger Stewart and wife, Maybelle; a daughter, Felicia Ketron and husband, Hobert; a son, Sean Stewart of Telford; a step-son, Freddie Ayers and wife, Amanda of Jonesborough; four grandchildren, Shawn Stewart, Cindy (Chris) Stewart of Germany, James Ketron and Issac Ketron; step-grandchildren, MaKenzie and Freddie Ayers Jr.; great-grandchildren, Alisha, Judy, Jeremy Stewart of Germany; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 437 Washington College Station Road, Limestone with Rev. Sam Smith and Rev. Charlie Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:00 noon until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be given to the charity of their choice. Visitation: Saturday April 2 2016 - 12:00 to 2:00 PM Services: Saturday 2:00 PM Interment: N
