Flora Aretha Cato

Flora Aretha Nicely Cato, 87 of Johnson City passed away Wednesday, January 13, 2016 in the Christian Care Health Care Center. She was a native of Finwick, West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Norman and Vesta McCourt Nicely. Mrs. Cato was a homemaker and a member of the Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Greer. Survivors include a son, Johnny Cato; four grandsons, Phillip, Joshua, William and Jeremiah Greer; a granddaughter, Echo Greer; a son-in-law, Larry Greer; cousins, Shirley Puckett and Linda Crigger; also several great-grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2016 in the Happy Valley Church of Jesus Christ, 2733 Elizabethton Highway, Johnson City with Pastor Donny Reagan officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 19, 2016 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery.
