Eusebia "Chevy" Torres

Eusebia “Chevy” P. Torres, 77, passed on to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Flagler Memorial Hospital in St. Augustine, Florida. Chevy was born in Yauco, Puerto Rico and moved to Florida with her family in 1979. She was married to Carmelo “Charlie” Torres for 56 years. Chevy was a dedicated housewife who raised two sons. She loved good food, showcasing her culinary talents, socializing, gardening, reading, traveling and special times with family and friends. With her personality she was always a light. Chevy was dedicated to her family and friends, near and far, always willing to help, teach and support. She is survived by two sons, Daniel V. Torres and Carlos A. Torres; a daughter-in-law, Phebe Hope Torres; a grandson, David Isaac Torres; a step-daughter, Alice Torres. A time of gathering for Chevy will be conducted from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Monday, March 23, 2020 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City.
