Genieve Estelle Honeycutt Arbogast Grimes

Genieve Estelle Honeycutt Arbogast Grimes was born on 17 February 1941. After a courageous fight with cancer, she passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2012 in Johnson City. Genie was a daughter of the late Frank Honeycutt and Polly Ida Bailey Honecutt. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Frank Honeycutt, Jr. and Robert Eason Honeycutt; one sister, Shirley Almeta Honeycutt and an infant son, Scott Grimes, and her husbands, Junior Kent Arbogast and Donald Grimes. Genie leaves behind her children, Donald Grimes, and wife Mary, PA, Jeff Grimes and wife Beth, Johnson City, Brenda Gail Arbogast, South Carolina. She also leaves behind eight grandchildren; Roger, Jennifer, Brandon Fortney, Cristal, Mitchell, Jordon, Ella Gail Grimes, and Jasmine Pate; four great grandchildren, Scott, Skylynn, Jaden, and TJ; Sisters, Gwenolyn Creek, Johnson City, Dorothy Edwards and husband Fred, Jonesborough; one brother, Billy Honeycutt, and wife Kathleen, Rogersville; special longtime friend, Clinton (Bud) Parrot, and a special niece, Penny Coffey. Genie loved her family, her cats, her crossword puzzles, table games and TV game shows. The funeral service for Genie will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in the chapel of Woodall-Anderson & Dugger Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home. The internment will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, January 5 at the Anderson Chapel Cemetery, Unicoi, TN. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 1:50 P.M. Thursday. Active pallbearers will be Barry Creek, Ruben Creek, Patrick Creek, Denny Coffey, Daniel Coffey, Jason Bennett, and Eric Elrod.
