Ella Collette Lawson

Ella Collette Lawson, of Johnson City passed away Tuesday, August 5, 2014 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. Mrs. Lawson was the daughter of the late Samuel William Collette and Letha McCurry Barnes. She was a homemaker and attended Skyline Heights Baptist Church of Johnson City. Mrs. Lawson enjoyed sewing, knitting and craft work. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Douglas Lawson; her step-father, Paul L. Barnes; a brother, R.B. Collette and a grandson, William Samuel Lawson. Survivors include her son, George Lawson and his wife, Brenda of Americus, GA; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Lawson will be conducted at 2:00 PM Friday, August 8, 2014 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 to 1:30 PM then proceed to the cemetery for the service. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
