Ella Jean Blevins Crowe Allen, 76, 810 Briarcliff Road, Johnson City passed away Sunday, January 17, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Oneida, Tennessee and was a daughter of the late Ted and Floda Duncan Blevins; Jean was a member of the Grace Free Will Baptist Church where she sang in the Church Choir. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jack Crowe in 1994; a brother, Clay Blevins. Survivors include three children, Kathy Jones and her husband, Larry of Gray; Gregory L. Crowe of Johnson City and Jackie Spivey and her husband, Dedrick of Duffield, VA; two brothers, Ted Blevins Jr. and his wife, Joann of Indianapolis and Dave Blevins of Alpharetta, Georgia; five sisters, Cora Goff of Ohio, Jewell Jones and her husband, Jim of Alabama, Faye Hensley and her husband, Ed of Ohio, Sherry Stine and her husband, Bill of South Carolina and Dorinda Hale of Texas; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a long time personal friend, Ranell Gardner. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Grace Free Will Baptist Church, 2110 Knob Creek Road, Johnson City with Pastor Curtis Hurt officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 21, 2016 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Ranell Gardner and men of Grace Free Will Baptist Church. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorials be made to Grace Free Will Baptist Church Choir in honor of Jean Allen.
