E. Faye Miles

Mrs. E. Faye Miles, Regency Square #12, Johnson City passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Erwin but had lived most of her life in Johnson City. Mrs. Miles was a daughter of the late Walsen and Aletha Furchas Metcalf. She was a longtime member of the Johnson City Church of God. Mrs. Miles was retired from Super X Pharmacy. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Earl, Ernest, Jack and Howard Metcalf; five sisters, Lucy Smith, Iris Freeman, Ruth Tong, Irene Harvey and Louise Ford. Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Harold B. Miles; a daughter, Pandora Faye (Penny) Nasr and husband, Hamid of St Cloud, Florida; a son Richard Harold Miles of Johnson City; a grandson, Steven Sells of Charlotte, NC; three sisters-in-law, Geraldine Metcalf, Betty Hart and Caroline Henry; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Louise Metcalf and Shelby Greene. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 11, 2013 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Rev. Michael Lusk and Rev. Richard Bawgus officiating. Special music will be provided by Karen Atkinson and Queenie Wheeler. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held Friday, April 12, 2013 in the Mountain Home National Cemetery at 1:45 PM. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the funeral home by 1:30 PM to go in procession to the cemetery.
