Dorothy H. Griffith, age 81, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. A lifelong native of Washington County, she was a daughter of the late Tom and Cora Riddle Price. Mrs. Griffith was a member of Wayside Missionary Baptist Church, and was a homemaker. She was a loving Mother and Grandmother, and she loved working with her flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Johnny Smallman; son, Steve Smallman; daughter, Marie Jenkins; three brothers and 8 sisters. Survivors include her husband, Gene Griffith, Johnson City; one daughter, Edith Foster, Johnson City; three sons, Gary Smallman, Bobby Smallman, and Fred Smallman, all of Johnson City; two grandsons, six granddaughters, six great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive. The Graveside funeral service for Mrs. Griffith will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, June 29, 2013 from Monte Vista Memorial Park with Rev. Jack Maupin officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Woodall-Anderson & Dugger Funeral Home. Active pallbearers will be Gary Smallman, Mark Riddle, Fred Smallman, Bobby Smallman, Gene Griffith, and Paul Humphries.
