Dorothy Mae Reeser, 91, Johnson City passed away Sunday, September 15, 2019 in Hillview Health Center of Elizabethton. She was a native of Washington County and was a daughter of the late Dorsey and Mildred Stockton Edwards. Mrs. Reeser was a homemaker and a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, roses, writing, visiting her friends, cooking for her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Orvil Claude Reeser in 2002; two sons, Eddie and Tim Reeser and her step-father, Henry Miller.Survivors include two daughters, Marjorie Nixdorf and husband, Richard of Knoxville and Jan Reeser of Johnson City; grandchildren, Michelle Nixdorf of Knoxville, Chad Nixdorf and wife, Laura of Savannah, GA, Brandon Reeser and wife, Elizabeth of Charleston, SC, Shelly Medley and husband, Chris of Maryville, TN and Mandy Garrett and husband, Jason of Knoxville; great-grandchildren, Reese and Colt Nixdorf, Micah and Madison Reeser, Jacob, Kyler and Maisy Anderson, Cate and Charlotte Medley, and Joey Reeser and Addison Garrett and Charleston Medley; also several nieces and nephews.Graveside services for Mrs. Reeser will be conducted at 2:30 PM Wednesday, September, 18, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Chaplain Chris Hughes officiating.
