Dickie Lee Cullop, 67, formerly of 832 Hamilton Street, Johnson City passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016 in the Ridgecrest Manor Nursing Center, Duffield, Virginia. He was a native of Smyth County, Virginia and was a son of the late Frank "Jerry" Cullop and Hazel Sheets Cullop. Mr. Cullop had worked for American Water Heaters many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Frazier Cullop in 2005 and three brothers, Michael and Gregory Cullop and David Sheets. Survivors include two daughters, Kristi Street and husband, Kevin of Bakersville, NC and Cindy Freeman and husband, Rick of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Haley Street, Jakobi Freeman, Kasey Freeman and a special grandson, Brandon Nave; a great-great-grandson, Lukas Scalf Freeman; a brother, Dean Cullop of Johnson City; three sisters, Peggy Bennett and husband, Mickey of Jonesborough, Linda Byrd of Johnson City and Brenda Cullop of Unicoi; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Dickie will be conducted at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 29, 2016 in the Roselawn Memory Gardens, S. Roan Street, Johnson City with Pastor Larry Dugger officiating. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50 PM.
