Dianne Carol Hixson

Dianne Carol Foster Hixson, 87, Johnson City passed away unexpectedly Monday, December 2, 2019. She was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and was the daughter of the late Albert and Mary Wingard Foster. Mrs. Hixson was a member of the Bethesda United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking for her family and loved to travel and listen to her son’s band play music. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Hixson who passed away in December 2012.Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Jan Rose and Carl Edward Hyatt of Johnson City: her son, Randall Jay Hixson and Deborah L. Patten of Jonesborough: three granddaughters, April Dawn Hixson, Jessica Lynn Simpson and Ashley Nichole Cable; eleven great-grandchildren, Jordan Nelson, Jalen Pack, Mikenzie Hixson, Autumn Howard, Jaden Garland, Kielie Cable, Brianna Rose, Wyatt Guest, Carson Simpson, Aubrey Pack and Jasper Branson: also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Hixson will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, December 6, 2019 at Mountain Home National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City from 9:30 to 10:30 AM then proceed to the cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends.
