Dean Gillin Correll

Mrs. Dean Gillin Correll, 82, Johnson City passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at her residence. She was a native of Parrotsville, TN and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Mrs. Correll was a daughter of the late Savoy and Adeline Franklin Gillin. Before retirement she had worked for Texas Instruments and Siemens' Corporation. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Jonesborough. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Ray Correll in 2010; a son, Jimmy Dean Correll; five brothers, Worley, Alvin, Roscoe, Beryl and Pete Gillin; a sister, Mae Hensley; a daughter-in-law, Samantha Correll; two grandchildren, Travis Ramsey and Derek Aldridge. Survivors include four daughters, Patricia Graybeal and husband, Jerry of Johnson City, Linda Moore and husband, Jim Bob of Telford, Phyllis Kleinschmidt and husband, Ken of Brush Prairie, Washington and Madline Bradburn and husband, Elmer of Florida; two sons, John Correll of Afton and Michael Correll and wife, Connie of Sherrard, IL; a sister, Louise Hodge of Johnson City; a brother, Paul Gillin and wife, Lena of Greeneville; seventeen grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Correll will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday, June 14, 2014 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Mark Harrod officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the service hour. Burial will follow in the Telford Cemetery. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the Donnas' Team Ministry, c/o Trinity Baptist Church, 260 Headtown Road, Jonesborough, TN 37659.
