David Matthew Larus

David Matthew Larus, 31, Elizabethton passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 26, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Richmond, Virginia. David was a technician and had worked for Nationwide Alarms for several years. He was a graduate of Hampton High School. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Lewis and Margie Larus; his maternal grandfather, Lenwood Baldwin.Survivors include his father, Lewis Griffin Larus III and his mother, Linda Baldwin Larus both of Elizabethton; his sister, Naomi Carolyn Larus of Bristol; his maternal grandmother, Pauline Johnson Baldwin of Virginia; two uncles, John E. Larus and Paul Baldwin both of Virginia; a niece, Bailey Basham; also several cousins.A memorial service for David will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, November 29, 2018 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Donny Reagan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the service hour.
