I'm sorry to read of this. Darrell was my best friend in the second grade at North Side. I never saw him again after that but always remembered his name and thought about him many times over the years. My God send you comfort.

oh so many years ago but I still cannot offer up an explanation as to how he did it---one time in particular we was at Aunt Georgie's at the big farm in Bowmantown---me jeff brent stevie and Darrell was there--maybe a couple others ---but he would eat some soup beans and after a few minutes he'd lay down on his back and say hey guys watch this---at this moment I can see it happening very clearly---he would do something with his stomach ---one moment it would be kinda flat---and the next it would be way way up ---I mean like about a foot --and he could control it--up-down up-down it was an awesome sight to see--and for awhile during those wondrous days of yore I can recall each time I saw him i'd ask "Please do it again Cousin Darrell"-------Dang it---I was but just a little bitty feller and I remember Claude Mid Vivian Dougy Darrell and Shelia Gail living right down the street from my Papaw and Mamaw Hopson---I think Millard but ain't sure ---Good Night Darrell
