Mr. Danny Ray Gentry, 73, devoted and loving husband and father passed away Sunday, April 19, 2020. Danny was of the Baptist faith and attended Trinity Baptist Church in Jonesborough. As a former truck driver for Cox & Rich Wholesale, Giant Wholesale, Rainbo Bakery and WWC he made many friends and loved exchanging all their experiences on the road. Preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Mary Lou Gentry and a sister, Debbie Carver. Those left to cherish his precious memory include his wife, Charlotte of 52 years. A son, Donny Gentry and wife, Patty; two daughters, Angela Bratton and husband, Jason and Becky Smith and husband, Danny; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and wife, Whitney, Dray Gentry, Reagan Bratton, Olivia Smith and Emma Smith; two grandsons, Carson and Ashton Smith; two sisters, Janice Busler and Patricia Blevins; a brother, Robin Gentry; also several nieces and nephews. Danny will be missed by all his friends and especially his loving family. There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to your favorite charity. Charlotte & family, so sorry to hear about Danny’s passing. He was one of the nicest men you would ever meet. Was also a good neighbor many years ago. Remembering you & the family in prayer.
