Connie Elizabeth Tapp Brackins

Connie Tapp Brackins, 57, 405 Sam Aiken Road, Telford entered peacefully into her Heavenly Rest Sunday, June 14, 2015 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Unicoi County and was a daughter of the late William Buster Tapp and Isabell Broyles Tapp. Mrs. Brackins was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker. She was an avid UT fan and loved the outdoors and enjoyed her family. Mrs. Brackins loved life. She will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Dougie Tapp. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth A. Brackins; a son, James Curtis Brackins and wife, Kristy of Telford; a daughter, Lisa Laws and husband, Wesley of Jonesborough; a sister, Peggy Greene of Georgia; a brother, Junior Tapp and wife, Hattie of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Samuel Brackins, Sierra Brackins, Kyle Renfro, Eric Hilbert and Laura Norton; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; also several nieces and nephews. Graveside services for Mrs. Brackins will be conducted at 2:30 PM Friday, June 19, 2015 in the McCarty Cemetery in Telford with Pastor Tim Tapp officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM then proceed to the cemetery for the service.
