Mr. Clyde Ingram, 85, 807 Wilson Avenue, Johnson City passed away Saturday, January 19, 2013 in the Princeton Transitional Care Unit. He was a native of Buladean, NC but had lived in Johnson City most of his life. Mr. Ingram was the son of the late George and Flora Banks Ingram. He retired from the Budd Company and had worked for Magnavox Corporation for many years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys Whitson Ingram who passed away in 2002, also a son-in-law, Jim Brown. Survivors include five sons, Houston Bacon and his wife Brenda, Larry Bacon and his wife, Vickie all of Jonesborough, James "Jim" Ingram and his wife, Phyllis of Johnson City, Kenneth Ingram and his wife, Fay of Unicoi and Terry Ingram of Jackson, TN; three daughters, Brenda Brown, Johnson City, Rebecca Davis and her husband, Mark of Johnson City and Teresa Webb and her husband, Jeff of Gray; twenty grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a special friend, Donnie Whitaker. Funeral services for Mr. Ingram will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Bryan Paddock officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Other times at the home of a son, Jim Ingram, 402 Peachtree Street, Johnson City. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, January 23, 2013 in the Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Jerry Bacon, Bryan Bacon, Jeremy Ingram, Jeris Ingram, Kenny Goss and Ben Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Bacon, Donnie Whitaker and Andrew Ingram. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. David Freemon and his staff including Brooke for their special care and friendship they provided the family.
