Rev. Clarence A. Depew, 61, 212 Saddle Club Road, Greenfield, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 11, 2013 in the Milan General Hospital in Milan, TN. He was a native of Carter County and was a son of the late Elmer and Lola Barnette Depew. Rev. Depew had pastored several churches with McKenzie, Tennessee Church of God being his last pastorate position. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Weldon Depew and two nephews, Darrell and Raymond Depew. Survivors include his loving wife, Linda Robinette Depew, Greenfield, TN; a son, Bradley Depew and wife, Christine of Greenfield; two daughters, Holly Depew of Cleveland, TN and Leslie Farris and husband, Kelly of Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Shelby and Olivia Farris; six brothers, Wayne Depew, Donald Depew, Bill Depew all of Jonesborough, Ronald Depew of Lenoir, NC, Robert (Bobby) Depew of Piney Flats and David Depew of Johnson City; eight sisters, Dorothy Price, Margaret Hurley, Mildred Phillips, Karen Young, Jenny Depew all of Jonesborough, Ruth Goodman of Johnson City, Mary Lee Shell of Lenoir, NC and Christine Coleman of Greeneville; also several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Funeral services for Rev. Depew will be conducted at the Jonesborough Church of God, Sugar Hollow Road in Jonesborough at 7:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2013 with the Rev. Eugene Penland officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 4:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, December 15, 2013 in the Lyons Chapel Cemetery, Elizabethton. Active pallbearers will be Billy, David, Ronald and Donald Depew, David Chripchlow and Roger Christian. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne and Bobby Depew and Royce Bates.
