Charles Lee Stanley

Charles Lee Stanley, 69, 1142 Huffine Road, Johnson City passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City. Mr. Stanley was a son of the late Walter (Pappy) and Addie Mae Pendleton Stanley. He had worked as a dispatcher for Diamond Cab and W.W. Cab for over 30 years. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Freeman. Survivors include three children, Joseph Stanley and wife, Kelly of Christiansburg, VA, Wendy Stanley and friend, Robert Stallings of Johnson City and Joshua Stanley and wife, Melissa of Johnson City; two brothers, John and Billy Joe Stanley both of Johnson City; two sisters, Betty Dempsey of Elizabethton and Peggy Fender of Johnson City; three grandchildren, Matthew Christopher Furguson, Jave Tyler Deitz and Carlissa Annmarie Gosney. also several nieces and nephews. Memorial services for Mr. Stanley will be conducted at 3:00 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 in the Hosanna Fellowship Church, 715 Sunset Drive, Johnson City with Pastor Shirlee Ross officiating. The family will greet friends after the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to the funeral home to help with the funeral expense.
