Charles Edward Roberts

Charles Edward Roberts, 75, of Johnson City passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018 at his residence. He was a native of Johnson County and was a son of the late Lawrence and Julie Potter Roberts. Mr. Roberts was a member of the New Hope Church of Christ. He was retired from the restaurant business. Mr. Roberts was an avid NASCAR Fan. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Roberts and two sisters. Peggy Peters and Patty Smith.Survivors include his nieces and nephews, Jill Smith of Johnson City, Linda Werner and husband, Randall of Erin, TN, Michael Smith and wife, Kimberly of Bristol, VA, Mitchell Smith and wife, Michelle of Bristol, VA, Debra Guinn and husband, Joe of Elizabethton, Jackie Faver and husband, Paul of Bristol, TN, Joseph Peters and wife, Ann of Johnson City and Anthony Peters of Johnson City; also several great-nieces and nephews.Graveside services for Mr. Roberts will be conducted at 2:30 PM Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the Washington County Memory Gardens with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City.
