Bryson James Arnett, 13, of Jonesborough passed away Sunday, November 26, 2017 from injuries sustained in an auto accident. He was a native of Johnson City and a son of James Robert Arnett and Carolyn Sue Bailey Arnett of Jonesborough. Bryson was a student at Sulphur Springs School. He enjoyed playing basketball, football and four wheeling. Bryson is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, James Arnett and a cousin, Scotty Barnett.   Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother, Isaiah Robert Arnett; three sisters, Kelsey Summer Arnett, Mikayla Emma Arnett and Izabella Sage Arnett; his paternal grandmother, Mary Arnett of Johnson City; maternal grandparents, Paul and Betty Bailey of Johnson City; uncles, Brad Arnett and wife, Andrea, Edward Arnett and wife, Jessica, Blaine Arnett and wife, Tammy, Marcus Bailey and Glenn Bailey; aunts, Melissa Delavega and husband, Salvador, Sharon Bailey, Kathy Barnett and husband, Tim and Paula Barnett and husband, Jeff; a special cousin, Victoria Bailey; cousins, Austin, Brandon, Angela, Cale, Jamie, Wayne, Waylon, Keri, Elizabeth, Riley, Salvador, Sara, Jacob, Chandler and Parker; nephews, Prince, Preston and Jedidiah. Funeral services for Bryson will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, December 4, 2017 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Freddie Bennett officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Internment will follow in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. I worked at Dr. Ahmad's office when you were coming to see him. I am so very sorry for your loss. There isn't much I can say to help with your pain. But I hope you can find peace.

I was Bryson's Math teacher at Indian Trail last year. I was so deeply saddened to hear about this. I will always remember Bryson as a sweet and respectful young man. My prayers are with your family during this extremely difficult time.

Carolyn & James, we are so saddened by Bryson's passing away. I remember when J T would stay with you, Bryson was always a sweet and loving child. I'm praying for God to give you peace during this life changing event.
