Bridget Nicole Clay, 26, Jonesborough passed away unexpectedly Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was a native of Johnson City and was the daughter of Tony Lee Shell of Johnson City and Helen Lee Jenkins Coy of Johnson City. Bridget was a graduate of Science Hill High School. She enjoyed spending time with her children and husband, playing video games, going to the movies and shopping. She was preceded in death by a sister, Tonya Renee Shell; her maternal grandmother, Marie Jenkins; her paternal grandparents, Irene and Donnie Shell and her maternal great-grandmother, Helen Griffith.Survivors in addition to her parents include her loving husband, James Thomas Clay; her children, Autumn Clay, Madelyn Clay and Tobias Clay; her step-children, Devin, Tristan and Cameron Clay; her mother-in-law, Remona Collins; her step mother-in-law, Maggie Collins; special cousins, Mark and Sue Riddle; an aunt and uncle, Norma and Paul Humphrey; a brother-in-law, David Miller all of Johnson City; also several cousins.A Celebration of Life service for Bridget will be conducted at 8:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2019 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Pastor Wayne Cole officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be James Clay, David Miller, Mark Riddle, David Vanover, Jeremiah Coleman, Dayton Fulwiler and Bruce Hale.
