Bobby Jack Bailey

I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith;II Timothy 4:7Mr. Bobby Jack Bailey, 80, Johnson City passed away Friday, August 30, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center after a brief illness. He was a native of Johnson City and was a son of the late Howard Bailey and Essie Laws Bailey. Bobby was a kind, gentle loving man, who loved the Lord and his family. He was a charter member of Lynwood Christian Church and an active member of Lick Creek Christian Church. Bobby retired from Washington County Solid Waste Convenience Center in 2001. He loved cars and listening to Hank Williams Sr. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille Gregg and two brothers, Herrell Bailey and James Bailey.Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Green Bailey; a son, Jonathan Bailey and wife, Angela; a daughter, Terri White and husband, Ronald; three grandchildren, Caitlin Bailey and her boyfriend, Caleb Bishop, Matthew Bailey and Maddie White; a sister, Marie Merritt; a special niece, Patricia Woodward; also several other nieces and nephews.Funeral services for Bobby will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 4, 2019 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until the service hour. Entombment will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
