Billie Lee Taylor, 88, 2701 S. Roan Street, Johnson City passed away Monday, May 30, 2016 in the Christian Care Center. She was a native of Elizabeth City, Virginia but had lived most of her life in Johnson City. Mrs. Taylor was the daughter of the late Bash Shay and Mary Johns Campbell. She was a homemaker and lived a long life full of love. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Sam Taylor in 2000. Survivors include her children, Vivian Canter of Piney Flats, Mike Canter of Gray, Nancy Weems and husband, Jimmy of Johnson City, Martha Holley and husband, Eddie of Johnson City and Billie Jo Blalock of Sulphur Springs; Several grand-children and great- grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, June 2, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. The family wishes to thank Rachel and the entire staff of Christian Care Center for all of the love and care they provided.
