Betty Sheets Cox

Betty Sheets Cox, 81, formerly of Johnson City passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 in the Cambridge House in Bristol, Tennessee. She was a native of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lula Elizabeth Greer Sheets. Betty was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Cox; seven brothers and sisters, Charlie, Frank and Chelsie Sheets, Dorothy Kawski, Mae Chesser, Frances Dugger and Irene Marlowe; also a brother-in-law, Frank Pritchard. Survivors include two sons, Mitchell Campbell and Donald Sheets; three brothers, Wayne Sheets and wife, Betty of Johnson City, George Sheets and wife, Mildred and Glenn Sheets and wife, Lucy of Maryville; two sisters, Brenda Pritchard and Mary Murray and husband, James all of Gray; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services for Betty will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 13, 2016 in the Sheets Family Cemetery in Carter County with her brother Glenn Sheets officiating. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery.
