Barbara Linville Bennett

Barbara Linville Bennett, 76, of Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, April 22, 2014 in the NHC Healthcare. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and a daughter of the late Labon and Cortie Correll Sparks. Mrs. Bennett was a member of the University Parkway Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and had worked for Murray Guard. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Mosier and a granddaughter, Jennifer Pate. She is survived by a daughter, Patricia Smith of Johnson City; a son David Linville and wife, Robin of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Connor and Christopher Linville, Daniel Mosier, Jacqueline Lane and Jessica Norton; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Allison and Madeline Norton and Jasmine Pate. Memorial services for Mrs. Bennett will be conducted at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 24, 2014 in the Chapel of Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. Rusty Wishon officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour. The family would like to offer special thanks to Gary and Marie Glover for their support and friendship.
