Anna Bell King, 90, Cash Hollow Road, Johnson City went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a daughter of the late Frank and Virgie Bell (Jenny) Carrier Miller. Mrs. King had retired from the Appalachian Christian Village. She attended Unity Fellowship Church in Elizabethton and the Cash Hollow Church. Mrs. King was a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She had so much love for her family, friends and people that she had never met, always making sure everyone had something to eat. What a loving and caring heart she had. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Lee King in 1985; a daughter, Sylvia J. Cretsinger; seven brothers, Oscar, Roy, Albert, Edgar, Will, Tiney and infant Miller; five sisters, Nellie Miller, Maude Trent, Bertha Wishon and Martha Self; a son-in-law, Harley Miller; and a grandson, Troy Miller. Survivors include three daughters, Sarah Miller, Wilma Jean Scalf and Patricia "Chris" Miller and her husband, Carl all of Johnson City; eleven grandchildren, Jamie, Sandy, Patty, Jody, Beckey King Andes and Larry Andes, Michael, Veronica, Lora, Phillip, Susie and Buddy; sixteen great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; a special great-great-grandson, Skyler; also many nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. King will be conducted at 7:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2014 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with the Rev. Greg Wagner and Rev. James "Buddy" Cretsinger officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2014 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the funeral home by 10:30 AM Monday to go in procession to the cemetery.
