Amy Deann Greene Case, “Mom – Meemaw” 51, Elizabethton, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, September 27, 2019 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and was the daughter of Brenda Glover Greene of Johnson City and the late Sammy Greene Sr.; Mrs. Case was a Pre-School Teacher having taught several places including Downtown Christian Church. She attended New Hope Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kari Amanda Case and her maternal grandparents, Carl and Beatrice Glover. Survivors include her loving husband, James Michael Case; her mother, Brenda Glover Greene; a daughter, Tiffany Deann Buchanan and husband, Travis of Elizabethton; a son, Michael Dayton Case and wife, Brittany of Elizabethton; her grandchildren, Sadie Deann Buchanan, Abigail Davis, Baileigh Kari Case, Austin Renee Case, Hudson James Case and Evelyn Rose Case; three brothers, Sammy Green Jr., Mark Greene and Jeff Greene; her father and mother-in-law, Dan and Norma Case; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky and Cindy Case and family, Steve and Teresa Case and family, Darrell and Lori Case and family and many other special friends; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Case will be conducted at 7:00 PM Tuesday, October 1, 2019 in the Chapel of Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Case, Pastor Ben James and Rev. Tony Malone officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until the service hour. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, October 2, 2019 in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Roy Greer, Travis Buchanan, Mark Greene, Jeff Greene, Caleb Parks, Keith Birchfield, Jason Blevins and Brandon Birchfield. Honorary pallbearer will Sammy Greene Jr.; For those attending the graveside service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 2:50 PM. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the entire staff of the ICU Unit of the Johnson City Medical Center along with Dr. Massey and nurses of the 7th floor for the care and compassion they showed to Amy and the entire family.
