Alice Irene Wyatt

Alice Irene Wyatt, 79, formerly of 1000 E. Lakeview Drive, Johnson City passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 in the Erwin Health Care Center. She was a native of Butler, TN and had lived in Johnson City most of her life. Mrs. Wyatt was the daughter of the late Robert and Bessie Fletcher Rhymer. She was a homemaker and a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Johnson City. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Joe Wyatt in 2007; three brothers, Dwight, Eugene and Claude Rhymer. Survivors include a daughter, Edith Pitts of Elizabethton; a brother, Blaine Rhymer, Elizabethton; two granddaughters, Heather Vega of Chattanooga and Silvia Howse and her husband, Calvin of Elizabethton; two great-granddaughters, Katelyn Howse and Marc Vega; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Mrs. Wyatt will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 in the Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Crowe officiating. Graveside services will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery, Piney Flats. Pallbearers will be selected from the family and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service time. Woodall-Anderson and Dugger Funeral Home, 108 W. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City is serving the Wyatt family.
