Alice E. Lyon

Alice E. Lyon, 89, of Piney Flats passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 in the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Avery County, North Carolina and was a daughter of the late Mack and Hattie Jones Davis. Mrs. Lyon was a homemaker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Harmon Perrigan in 1970 and her second husband, Bailey Lyon in 1989; a son, Farrell Perrigan and two grandsons. Survivors include her daughters, Brenda Watts and Helen Carder both of piney Flats and Kathy Sheppard and her husband, Rodney of Jonesborough; two sons, Donald Perrigan and his wife, Bessie of Piney Flats and Harold Perrigan and his wife, Agnes of Rock Hill, South Carolina; sixteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services for Mrs. Lyon will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 26, 2016 in the Happy Valley Memorial Park with Mr. Rodney Sheppard officiating. For those attending this service you are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:45 AM.
