Wayne Hilton, age 66, of Bluff City, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord at his residence on Monday, November 5, 2018 following a brief illness. A native of Johnson City, he was a son of the late Dewey Arnold and Hazel Juanita Bowman Hilton. Mr. Hilton was a member of Piney Flats United Methodist Church.
Mr. Hilton is survived by his daughter, Tammera Penix and husband Stephen, Bluff City; son, Shannon Hilton and wife April, Bluff City; six grandchildren, Ashton Hilton, Joshua Burton, Stephanie Penix, Chasitie Penix, Jacob Hilton, and Nichole Hilton; 4 great grandchildren; two brothers, Daniel Hilton, Piney Flats, and Butch Hilton, Jonesborough.
The funeral service for Mr. Hilton will be conducted at 7:00 P.M. Friday, November 9, 2018 in the chapel of Woodall-Anderson & Dugger Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Deaton officiating. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 10, 2018 in the Shell Cemetery, Piney Flats, Tennessee. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Those who wish to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 A.M. Saturday.
