Jack D. Lenichek, 61, of Jonesborough passed away February 15, 2018 unexpectedly. He was a native of Glendora, California and was a son of the late Harold and Dorothy Frazier Lenichek. Jack was a truck driver for Brick Delivery Company. He attended Pathway Freewill Baptist Church in Erwin. Jack enjoyed fishing, motorcycle rides in the country with his two dogs, Maverick and Suzie, tinkering on cars and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include five children, Elisabeth Lenichek of Elizabethton, Hannah Babb and her husband, Randy of Johnson City, John Lenichek and wife, Meredith of Beaufort, SC, Esther Lenichek of Elizabethton and Josiah Lenichek and wife, Hannah of Jonesborough; a brother, Jim Lenichek of Alaska; three grandchildren, Adam, JoyAnna and Aaron Lenichek; two nephews, Joel and Luke Lenichek; an aunt and uncle, Ann and Burl Altaffer.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 PM Monday, February 19, 2018 in the East Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Home, 800 E. Watauga Avenue, Johnson City with Rev. Matthew Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM until the service hour. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that contributions be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
